The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council will hold a virtual Business Networking Meet with trade representatives from India and Morocco on May 20 to promote trade ties between the two nations.
The online event aims to link Indian jewellery manufacturers with Morocco-based jewellery retailers and wholesalers to facilitate new business opportunities, the GJEPC announced on Facebook on May 18. The event will be moderated by the GJEPC’s executive director Sabyasachi Ray and is organised by the GJEPC’s Vikrant Pradhan.
The event will be the latest in the GJEPC’s India Global Connect series of international trade meetings. The jewellery organisation has already held similar virtual meet-ups with countries including Singapore, Switzerland, Colombia, and the UK to promote Indian jewellery exports.
As many areas of India are under local lockdown, the GJEPC has launched a new range of online initiatives and webinars to keep the industry connected.
On May 19, the traders’ body held an online session titled ‘2022 and Beyond: Managing Strategic Opportunities’, which saw panelists GJEPC chairman Colin Shah and Diamond Panel Committee convenor Sanjay Shah in conversation with Rapaport Group’s chairman Martin Rapaport, based in Israel, the GJEPC announced on Facebook.
